  • Proceedings now available online from "State of the Art and Research Agenda for Malnutrition in the Elderly" scientific symposium at the IAGG World Congress 2009

Vevey, Switzerland – 17 November 2009 – During the 19th IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics, which took place from the 5th – 9th July 2009 in Paris, key note speakers including Prof. Lisette de Groot, Dr. Marco Inzitari, Prof. Cornel C. Sieber and Prof. Ibrahim Elmadfa were brought together to present the results of an IAGG Task Force on malnutrition in the elderly. The presentations focussed on four areas: the epidemiology of nutrition and ageing, nutrition and frailty,screening and determination of nutritional status and potential intervention to reduce under-nutrition/malnutrition.
